clever craft

A clever mom led the class craft at the Easter party.  She passed around styrofoam cups and Sharpie markers to create faces.  Cups were filled half way with potting soil, grass seeds were sprinkled on top and the kits were packaged in lunch sacks.  "If you water your cups when you get home, your buddies will grow hair."  Talk about (almost) instant gratification.  We had hair in three days!

These precious things nearly melted my heart into a puddle.  

And so did these.  Jim bought E a Little Bear book.
And she is reading.  For him.  Not so much for me.  I don't do it right.
The shrimp and polenta Jim made was special, too, but I was too busy eating to take a photo.

He's cute and can use a wrecking bar.
E begged to vacuum.  Seriously.  You know your child watches too much HGTV when she says, "Mommy!  The hardwoods are in excellent condition!"
We did take her to a birthday party later in the day.
