I must have said something funny here.  Refreshing.  Most of what I say these days is terribly embarrassing.  As I chatted with her friends on the way to the nursing home, she whispered, "Mom, stop talking now.  PLEASE."

7th birthday party

Elizabeth turned seven years old six days ago.  Here she is on her actual birthday.

And here she is today at her birthday party.

We selected the princess theme package but the birthday girl prefers to call it the "girls' theme".  She can be funny like that.  I think some of her friends feel too old for princesses.

But they were not too old to have their nails painted...

and to play "Pin the Lips on the Frog".

Or for treat bags...
and birthday cake with groovy flowers,

making beaded bracelets 
and having their hair styled.


Here is the door man showing guests to Meeting Room 1.  He also brought the ham & cheese subs.  Thanks, Dad!

We started by coloring.

And ended by opening presents with lots of fun in between.

The birthday girl is sound asleep with this big, fun dog in the bed.  Night night.
